Bamboo Generation
BG was created by bamboo lovers from diverse fields: humanitarian, agriculture, architecture and communications.
The organization aims to promote the use of bamboo - including construction – not only through technical assistance, humanitarian programs and development but also through social and cultural programs. Everything we do is related to environmental and sustainable development issues. |

We provide specialized support to organizations
We provide specialized support to organizations (NGOs, UN Agencies, international organizations ...) in defining their needs for bamboo structures. If necessary, the association provides experts to assist in the installation of structures. These may be houses but also structures such as health centers, offices or schools.
We implement development programs
based on the economical use of bamboo as a principal tool. These programs can have as their objective the construction of low-cost houses, the development of a craft industry and / or industrial development of commercial networks, preferable fair-trade.
We organize and participate in cultural events
through which bamboo is highlighted.
We monitor technological surveys
to gather knowledge shared with partners . We provide a resource center platform for knowledge exchange and reflection for both users and for manufacturers.

Bamboo Generation consists of a multidisciplinary team: engineers, architects, sociologists, and agronomists, all with analytical and technical capacities.
Technical resources
Technological expertise in the areas of planting, processing, construction, and the testing of earthquake and cyclones resistant structures. Bamboo Generation is a partner of Bamboo Technologies, the world's first company to create certified bamboo homes.
Teaching methods
Bamboo Generation has the ability to train others about planting bamboo in order to grow the local economy as well as on construction methods for building with bamboo. |
